Using the Berry Maker for painting reborn dolls?

by Liz
(Groveport, Ohio/USA)

I would like some information on using the Berry Maker to create lifelike skin tones on reborn dolls. In other words, at which point in the painting process is it used, is it used instead of blushing with a sponge, etc. Is there a video out on this process?

Using the Berry Maker for painting reborn dolls.

The easiest way for me, is to do my first skin foundation. After it has been baked on, I take and paint the blush paint, just a little at a time. I then take a wedge sponge, and pounce ALL the brush strokes, (which can be unsightly), and not look as realistic. I take my berry maker, and pounce all over the blush, which brings out the skin color through what has been pounced on. There are different methods, and I'm sure they all work well, but this method works best for me. Hope this helps!
