Are they normal paint thinners or a special type? I want to have a go and am trying to find everything and all of the reborn supplies that I need to try. I so love the look of the reborn dolls and want to learn.

Well, I have always used odorless mineral spirits that I buy at Walmart. I haven 't really noticed any difference and we don't have a craft/hobby store in my immediate area. I think I tried the Mona Lisa a while back and it was very expensive..I found out if you look in different departments you get better deals..than if you look in the reborn supply sections. It's terrible that people will take advantage of people by buying a gallon of it and putting it in 2 oz bottles and selling it for more than what they paid for the gallon. *shaking head..sigh* Shame on them.

I use Mona Lisa thinner that I get at Hobby Lobby.I tried a different one, but it left my doll shiny.
