I've just gotten my first reborn doll .I've been told they go shiny over time. Can I prevent this?I really don't want a shiny reborn baby so if there is anything i can do.

I dont think they become shiny over time

MI have never heard of them getting shiny over time, they either become shiny during the painting process or not. I think this happens when the artist heat sets the paint when the the paint is still wet, the areas that are wet heat quickly and end up shiny. I painted the cheeks of my reborn and being excited and impatient ( like a few artists do lol) put the doll in and she came out with shiny cheeks! Matte finish can help remove shine just don't use too much.
