Reborn Dolls are Wonderful For those with Additional Needs

Ever since my sister was a child she has loved babies. This was often a trait I had wished she had not developed as she will never be physically or mentally capable of caring for a child and would therefore not be able to have one herself.
She has had many dolls since she was a child herself. In the recent years she has come to understand that she will never have a child of her own and will have to make do with nieces and nephews in the future.

We have recently had a reborn shop move into the area which was what gave us the idea of a 'real' baby for her. As a reward for positive continuous behaviour and for discarding all other dolls we have brought her a re-born doll.

Never have I seen her love a doll so much. It goes everywhere with her and she loves showing everyone her 'baby'. She cares for its hair, feeds it, changes it and talks to it every day. She loves that doll like no other. It has given such an insight to her thoughts and feelings as she talks through her dolls.

This has been beneficial to her in so many ways that I could never think poorly of re-born dolls. In fact they are so adorable that I now intend to get one, if only to squidge the lifelike feet.
