Reborn doll Emmy

This a Marissa May sculpt, "Sera". She is one of twins and a beautiful sculpt. The reborning process on this baby was just a pleasure. She has such a sweet little face.

I have been reborning since 2007 and seem to learn something new everyday. In the beginning, I used dolls that my daughter had and ruined quite a few. I started out with oils and to be totally honest, I had no idea what I was doing. I can honestly say that I have learned everything the hard way.

When I found the genesis paints and real felting needles, I started to actually make dolls that looked pretty good. It was very exciting and let's just say that now I'm hooked. My dolls are getting better and better and now when I look back at the first disaster, I just laugh. I still have that sad little doll and vow that one day, I will make her real. She has so many holes in her head that I will probably have to put a wig on her, but she will be put back together one day.
