Yes, I do live in Seattle, or just south of it in SeaTac. I'd love to get together with you. How do we exchange information on a public message board?? I'm excited to know you are so close. Brooke

Hi Donna & Debi :)
by: Jeni

Thanks Donna for your comments (& for defending me LOL)...It's a to each his own art, so I'm not bothered! Angelina is an older (larger) baby, and they do tend to have richer colored lips...but...whatever! Anyway thanks again!

Debi, Donna is right about the German Fork needles. I use a 43 gage German fork for the hair, and a modified verson of the same needle to do the eyelashes, because the needle needs to curve in order to be able to push the hair into an area where it can be secured with sealant. It takes a bit of practice (I used a doll from a thrift store, and kept rooting & pulling them out & trying again & again until I felt I was ready to try on a kit. Hope that helps.

Love to ya both!
Jeni

Jen's Baby
by: Donna

It's those German forks she uses. They are too hard for me to use....such delicacy. I have carpal tunnel SO bad you could just about cut off my fingers and I wouldn't feel it, so I have to use the old fashioned things, but I will NEVER use that horrid mushroom rooting tool again. I use the rooting pen. You can tell where you are placing the hair SO much easier and I break a LOT less needles using them.

I am hoping the Administrator of this site sees this message. Can you please remove the second post of the person who made the comment about "pink lips". It only gives Jennifer 2 stars TWICE and that is not fair. Her babies are gorgeous and I'm sure it just had to do with the lighting.

((((HUGS)))) to ya Jen! Beautiful work!

AMAZING!!!!
by: Donna

Hey Jen, this baby is gorgeous, as usual. You do amazing work and girl....you have those German forks down. I tried them and they are hard to use. The only "fork" I've got down is the one that makes my mouth fly open everytime my elbow bends.

Again, she is GORGEOUS, as usual. I admire your talent. ((((HUGS)))

Your baby is adorable and so sweet.
How do you root her eyelashes with her open eyes?
I cant seem to get the fake eyelashes to look good I made a mess of glue all over and they look fake and I am afraid to mess up anymore dolls doing it.
Id appreciate any help you could give me thank you.
Debi
