Hi everyone! My name is Cherie Miller and I'm 39. Before I get to my story I want to share some of Taylor's facial details with you; Taylor has a "Nail Scratch" on his left cheek (Newborn nails can be sharp!), he also has 2 spots of "Newborn acne", one on his chin and one next to his right eyebrow.
Ok, now comes the good part!! I promise to do my best to make this fairly long story short :o)
When I was 13 I received a doll for Christmas/Hanukkah that looked so real, it frightened people. I loved that doll (I still have her)! I was intrigued by how she was painted and hoped that maybe one day I?d be able to take a class to learn how she was created. I hadn't given it much more thought until one day, 25 years later, I came across a documentary about ?Reborn Dolls? I loved the idea that they were vinyl and not porcelain, because if I am within 5 feet of something fragile it WILL break. I was beyond excited! There was no question, I had to learn how to make them! So, after doing a lot of research, read a lot of books, and watching A LOT of DVD's, I bought some supplies, a doll kit and jumped in with both feet. After finishing my first baby I was completely addicted! I knew she was not going to be my last. I loved it, ALL of it! I had heard horror stories about rooting, how long it took, and how boring it was; But I loved rooting too! In fact now it's my favorite part of the Reborning process. Well, that, in a large nut shell, is the beginning of my Reborning story. The story continues with every baby I finish and hopefully the story will go on for a very long time!!
