new to newborning dolls
I just recently purchased my first reborn baby "Daisy" from Dream Babies Nursery and she is so......beautiful.
I have always been a craft person and am very interested in trying out this process on my own. It's the hair that scares me the most! lol
My question is...I see all the books, videos, etc. available, but I need to know if there is one that has all the instructions available from step 1 all the way through, including hair. (maybe a book as well as a video) I know Secrist has a complete kit, but I really don't want to make a "mini" baby which is what they start with.
Any suggestions would be appreciated...I love your new site and online magazine..keep up the great work. I would love it if we had some local classes available in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area I could attend...

Hi Linda
Learning to root hair on a reborn doll is tricky. The best tutorial I have found was in Lifelike dolls magazine. They have wonderful tutorials each issue with large, clear photographs and instructions. I personally did not find the Secrist hair rooting video helpful. A lot of learning the art of reborning is just doing it. There are several excellent books on reborning as well. Michelle Barrow Belisle's Beautiful Babies will teach you all about coloring.
It's a wonderful art form. I highly recommend the magazine!
Best of luck
