My Sweet Little Reborn Celeste

I had a lot of fun with this little girl! My husband was helping me do a "photo shoot", so that meant hauling Celeste, my camera, brush, etc. over to the playground. Well, he got so attached to her (we have no children) that I decided to do a "mock-up" magazine cover for him to keep, so that's the picture above. It was tons-o-fun!

She is the Celeste toddler reborn doll sculpt from Adrie Stoete, and is 28 inches tall (about the size of 18-24 months). First off I special ordered the longest mohair available...about 13" long, and rooted it from the very tip ends, so to give her very long hair. I hand rooted her upper & lower lashes, which I think gives her an added touch of realism.

I had an offer of $900. for her and dear God, I passed it up (gulp)because I decided that I need the exposure of my work ~ like here and on ebay, more than the $$, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that I made the right decision! Wish me luck!
