Is paper glaze the same as baby tears for making spit bubbles on a reborn doll?

by Wendy
(Palm Bay, FL)

I'm reborning my first black baby, and I wanted to make spit bubbles, but the paper glaze seems to look like a cloudy blue against the dolls darker skin. I didn't wait for it to dry, I removed it immediately because I was nervous that I might not be able to remove it after it dried should it stay discoloured. Is "baby tears" better, or the same? Will the paper glaze dry clear? I tested it on a dish, and it appeared hazy even when dry. What do you suggest?

It dries clear

It might come out of the bottle cloudy, but it dries clear. If it is put on thick, it might take a few days to completely dry. It will dry clear.
