Feb 06, 2012 Rating Fear of dolls! NEW by: Sherri Keller'Woo I acctually heard a psychic on tv saying dolls were originally created to house the dead! How about they were originally created to teach little girls how to be a mommy & care for something! This is a stigma with dolls that is so crazy, but there will always be people that don't consider it art like it is & don't appreciate the beauty for being creaped out by them. That just made me so mad; I changed the channel! Some people just get the wierdest ideas about a physical object & there are even some paintings I would'nt want in my home; so guess it's just up to each what form of art suites them. Really dolls are wierd & can invite dead spirits? Psychic told girl to get rid of her dolls? This is such noncense, but some people really have a big immagination & guess they can't look at anything too realistic without freaking out. LOL they are art you can hold & remind you of lots of things "your childhood" "your babies" gosh, I don't get it!

Dec 04, 2009 Rating Negative comments on Reborn Dolls NEW by: Sherri Keller'Woo I had a lady tell me on ebay she had been looking at reborn dolls for 3 days & that she just thinks they are creepy & look dead & see's only babies that are in distress or sleeping like they are dead & she is not the only one that feels that way & on & on...Tried to explain to her that these are art dolls; and that some people really love them...there is a nonprofit group making them for alzhiemer patients & I am making one for a mentally handicapped woman who never got to have a baby, or buy clothes for one, or probably never got to even hold a baby without supervision...there are a place for these dolls & I love dressing them & seeing their expressions as beautiful to me & lovely art that you can hold & keep for generations...I don't understand some peoples fear of dolls, but certainly there are those that find them creepy & frankly there are as many that love & enjoy collecting dolls & there always have been & the Germans have always made dolls & beautiful ones at that... These are more interesting than most to me becouse they are always one of a kind...A sculpter & a painter & nobody paints the same & the sculpter is an artist that puts the personality look to the doll & it is all so interesting to me, but you can't change peoples ideas, but frankly I wonder why they look at them so much if they are creeped out? You know there are many famous poitrates of people that look creepy that are in museums & have been kept for generations & to me there is no difference...except this is a picture you can hold & gives the feeling of holding a baby...very nice to me & there are those that feel the same way...
