I would like to learn the art of reborning a doll. But don't know where to start! I have bought a baby doll from a second hand store and tried to clean her up with soap and water. Which took care of the dirt but not the other marks. don't know what made the marks, so didn't know what to use to clean it.
I tried to follow the directions I got online for reborning dolls. but didn't know how to fill the body to make it fill like a real new born. I also don't understand how to add hair. where should I go to learn this art? I also take lady dolls I buy at yard sales, second hand stores or new dolls and remake (Crochet doll clothes for them) sometimes the hair on the used dolls are a complete mess. Can you help me with any ideas on how to fix this problem. The hair is sometimes ratty, tangled, stiff, dirty, missing, etc. I want to learn how to repair or make wigs. I sell these dolls so I want to to a excellent job on the repairs.
nI got so frustrated, that I have resorted to just buying new dolls and crocheting victorian doll clothing for them. I am trying to learn how to make victorian undergarments like corsets, and such, but I am not having much luck on finding any patterns. Also some of the dolls i buy don't have breast just breast plates? I am am trying to learn how to add or make breast for these dolls and once again I am having problems finding this information. I know this is a site for reborning baby dolls, but I consider I am reborning the dolls that I am buying as I am giving them new life. If a doll has broken legs or feet, then I turn her into a beddoll, if a hand or arm is broken then I use her as a manninquin to fit clothing for dolls her size.
I hope someone will be able to help me with these issues. Thank you for your time and consideration in these matters.
