how to fix this color problem on my reborn doll

by marcy

This baby was supposed to be A/A and not reddish brown like an Indian baby. The kit was called bi-racial, but it wasn't dark, at all and I figured paint would do it, so when I couldn't get much change, I added vein blue and that DID make a difference, but I had worked on it so long that I lost my perspective and thought she was an "okay" color. Then, after not picking her up for a month, I regained a more objective perspective and see that she is NOT okay. Someone told me she needed to be green washed, but I have 2 sets of GHSP and there is no green in there, so what kind of green do I use and how? Seems like she's gonna' go from Indian to Martian. Somebody, help plesae!
Thanks,
Marcy
I tried to upload a photo, but couldfn't get it SMALL enough to work. If anyone has any ideas, I can email the picture directly. This site just doesn't like the size and when I try to fix it, it won't upload it, so....
THanks in advance any and everyone....
Marcy

Blue

A blue wash tones down orangy or reddish babies. It is the flesh 02 which has an orange base that is causing that shade to develop. I make aa babies and a blue wash usualy takes it out.

green wash

I was told to do a green wash when my baby seemed to purplish pink. I took a tiny tiny bit of oil paint pthalo green and mixed it with some fingernail white and lots of turpintine so its very light and thin. Dabbed it all over and then sponged it. It did make it less purple pink and didnt make it green.
there are some green wash tuturials on the net.

I dont know if this is really what you need to make your AA baby look right though.

Help for your kit

If you email me the picture at edenslittleones@hotmail.com, I have a photo program that lets you re-size pictures. I can re-size it and email it back to you. Or, if you need a good picture program like that, it's a free download called PhotoFiltre. You can do a search for it and find several places to download it from.

As for your baby, I know how to fix custom-mixed colors while painting the baby. But I have never done a wash, so I don't know how to do it afterwards. Sorry :(
