How to clean and care for reborn dolls?

First of all, I would like to thank you, in advance, for your kind consideration and response.

I have 3 reborn dolls and I am trying to glean information pertaining to the "gentle spot washing" of their faces and limbs, if need be. Even though I understand the heat-genesis paint is permanent I have read conflicting reports on their care. Of course I understand if they are being displayed it is advisable to carefully dust their faces but... what if a spot or blemish should inadvertently happen? Would the doll's face treated with genesis paint sustain a gentle cutip cleaning and if so... what mild soap should be used? I am aware that accidents can happen even if one is extremely careful.
