Help with sculpting clay heads for reborn dolls

by shannon booth
(mobile alabama us)

I am new to reborning dolls but I am currently an artist of oils watercolors and acrylics I am a canvas artist and a muralist I really want to try my hand at sculpting clay heads so I can mimic my three daughters. I have watched many of the tutorials the easiest one I found so far would be starting with the form and adding my own features my question is first to you leave in the form? And my next question would be if I want to make a naked reborn baby how do I get the naked real body look all the tutorials show soft body dolls. Any suggestions or tips will be greatly appreciated I also thought about buying a reborn doll kit from a local hobby store to practice with first.
