Realistic Reborn Dolls

First attempt at reborning

by Stevie
(Texas)

Hello..I'm reborning the Ashton-Drake doll, Hush. (working with Genesis and using an oven) So far, I've stripped her, given her 2 layers of flesh..veins..mottling and a very light blush. Soooo, my "issue" is with the mottling.
I feel like it looks too frekled in some areas, instead of mottled. Does that make sense? Also on one arm, there is an area that is too intense, because I was a bit impatient and started when the doll was still very warm and it set before I could pounce over it. DOH!
Is there any way to "tone down" that dark area? Also do you think blushing the freckles would help blend them better? Or will I have to strip her down again? please say no to the stripping..lol
Thanks so much for all of your insight and help!!

Don't strip her
by: Sabriam

Just keeping doing washes (very thin layers) and it will tone the mottling waaay down and even things out. If you're not sure if you like her at a certain point, leave her and look with fresh eyes in a day or two.

Hope this helps!
