Colour layering for reborn dolls?

I've been reborning for almost a year.
I would love to learn more about layering other than the basic flesh,vein and blush layers.
Is there a book, or information available to help us with this?

I've purchased a few of the Art of Reborning magazines and didn't find them helpful at all.
Out-dated somewhat and the finished dolls in the magazines weren't appealing to me either.

Realistic Skin Tones advice for Linda

The best advice I can give for achieving more realistic skin tones for your reborns is to go ahead and purchase some "How To" Books on how to draw and paint the Human Form..... focusing primarily on skin tones. With Babies, translucency is key, so just apply what you learn about painting the Adult form to your babies, but be sure to apply the paints in very 'sheer, see-through layers'. No one can actually 'teach' you how to paint life-like skin tones except you.... all anyone can show you is their 'technique' and 'form'... it's up to 'you' to master the skills and the concepts. Your next 'challenge' once you've mastered life-like skin tones is photographing them... it's one thing to paint them and another thing to capture all the hard work & fine details with a Camera!
