blue reborn baby!!!

I started reborning a baby doll and used too much blue on the inside to highlight the baby's creases. Sad to say, the doll now looks like a "blue baby"!!!! Is there anything I can do now to salvage the doll?

Smurf baby ? :) You could try running some acetone inside the limbs and then soak and wash. You didn't mention what painting medium you used. If it was genesis heat set paints and it's been baked it's probably permanent. If you didn't bake yet you can wash it out. If it's oils and they haven't fully cured, you can probably salvage it.

That being said, doing an interior blue wash is generally not done anymore as the vinyl has changed over the years and it's really not necessary to color the doll. A little around the eyes or bottoms of feet possibly, but generally you can achieve the look you are going for by painting on the outside. Many reborn dolls that had a purple or blue wash initially have 'leaked' over the years, staining the doll and making it appear to be bruised.
