Berenguer Dolls

Berenguer dolls have been around for more than half a century, created by master doll artist Jose Berenguer. His son Salvador Berenguer of Spain now carries on his legacy as a doll sculptor, creating lifelike baby dolls for children and collectors alike. Berenguer dolls can be a wonderful addition to any child's nursery, and they also transform into the most lifelike dolls when used by reborn artists. The sculpts and molds are exquisite and were used almost exclusively in the past history of reborning. The unique expressions and different skin tones and ethnicities have created a following of collectors for these cherished dolls.

Berenguer has the set the standard by which other sculptors attempt to achieve realism in their molds. Many editions are retired or sold out and many are very hard to find now. They are wonderful just as they are, yet many are inexpensive enough for the beginning reborn artist, or even the established ones, to take apart and reborn. They always go for a high price on ebay as they are much sought-after by doll collectors.
